MBST may be used as single treatment or as part of a multimodal treatment concept. Many MBST centres use an MBST therapy series as a part of an extensive treatment plan to achieve the best possible result.
After diagnosis and scheduling, therapy with an MBST device is largely automatic and does not require constant supervision. This benefits you as the treatment may be applicated by trained staff in your clinic. The therapy can thus be completed during normal everyday work in the practice and consultation hours with little need for additional staff.
Diagnosis
MBST is a tissue-specific treatment that targets specifically the damaged tissues. This is why a correct medical diagnosis is the basis for a successful MBST therapy.
Therapy card selection
The treatment sequences are specified for the parameters of the target tissue. Depending on the diagnosis and the type of the damaged tissue, you select the matching therapy card individually for each patient.

An MBST treatment series
The number of therapy units depends on type and severity of the condition or injury. An MBST treatment series usually includes 5 to 10 therapy units. In some cases or in the case of multiple damages, more therapy units may be beneficial.
Patient positioning
Construction-related, the different therapy devices are specified for the treatment of defined body parts. Depending on which MBST therapy device you are using, the treatment field differs in size. However, the active treatment field is always generated in the space between the applicators. You or your medical staff can help the patient to lie or sit down in such a way that the body part to be treated is positioned centrally in the treatment field. Then you can start the therapy unit.
An MBST therapy unit lasts for 60 minutes. The patient can lie down on the lying surface or sit in the provided chair. Patients are not required to remain still. As long as the treated body part stays within the treatment field, they can move freely and i.e. read or listen to music. A position that is as comfortable as possible for him can help him to perceive the treatment as pleasant.
Treatment with an MBST therapy device is pain free and silent. The patient can remain clothed. For reasons of comfort and hygiene, however, shoes should be removed for a treatment on the lying surface. Jewelry or piercings do not need to be removed as the generated magnetic field strengths are not strong enough to attract metallic objects.
Each therapy unit consists of several phases: one for pain reduction and two for activation and regeneration. The start of the next phase is indicated by a beeping sound. Some people can feel the change of frequencies and say that the treated body part feels different in each, for example with a feeling of warmth or a tingling. But most patients do not feel it when the therapy device works on them.
Regeneration takes time
MBST therapeutic aim is supporting physiological endogenous processes. Regeneration does, however, take time and does not happen overnight. Usually, it takes longer in the case of degenerative diseases for the patients to notice a change than for patients with acute injuries.
Patients frequently report less pain after only the first few therapy hours or tell how they can now manage the stairs to the medical practice quicker than before. However, especially in the case of degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis with severe tissue damage, it is not unusual when the result of stimulated repair processes is only noticeable after several weeks and up to 3 months.
Rates of success
Studies show that 80-85% of treated patients report less pain and better mobility.1 In some cases, these improvements were even noticeable for several years after treatment. How long the effect can be felt, differs from patient to patient. Patients with degenerative conditions may benefit from refreshing treatments with a reduced number of therapy units to consolidate the therapy result.
