Education is an important topic for us. We know that access to education not only changes the life of the individual student but also helps to shape a better future for societies around the world. In our company, we can see this directly in the special school project in Nepal that our CEO Jagadish Paudel has initiated.
Before the Shree Sangam School opened, the children of Dihi had to visit the school in the neighbouring district: 1.5 hours way, up the mountain, through the jungle – on foot. When bad weather or winter made the way impassable, the children missed class.
The new school in the village makes it a lot easier for the children to attend school and complete their education. At the moment, 45 children learn at the new elementary school in Dihi: 29 boys and 16 girls.
Class 1-4 is included plus a kindergarden.
2 male and one female teacher are employed by the school. They teach Nepali, English, Maths, Science, Social Studes, Health, Population and Environmental Studies and Physical Education.
One of these children that had to walk through the jungle to the school in the neighboring district is today the CEO of MedTec Medizintechnik GmbH, the manufacturer of MBST magnetic resonance therapy devices. Jagadish Paudel was born and grew up in Tanahun. Despite the difficult circumstances, he managed to not only visit the elementary school but also earned a degree before studying in Germany.
With the support for the Shree Sangam Aadharbhut School, he and MBST work together to make it easier for the children in his native place to achieve better education and perspectives for their future.
„Respected Dr. Mamisch,
we would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the project is now almost complete. All the people in the community are very happy and grateful for your support.
Your support has created an awareness for education in the community. All the students coming to school with great joy and the school is making progress in improving the standard of learning.
Many years ago, when Mr. Paudel was young, he had to go to school far away from home because there was no school nearby. Now the school has been built in his birthplace. This has created an environment in which the young children here can receive an education.
A big thanks to you and your family. We look forward to welcoming you together with Jagadish in our school.“
